Workshop Description
Concrete admixtures play an important role in the construction of high-quality, long-lasting concrete pavements. Transportation engineers, concrete producers, and paving contractors rely on chemical admixtures to control many properties of the fresh and hardened concrete. Controlling fresh concrete for successful mixing, transporting, consolidating, and finishing often involves a combination of accurately proportioned admixtures. In addition, admixtures provide a means for contractors and concrete producers to achieve specification and performance requirements for each project.
Our presenters will share their detailed knowledge of the fundamentals and use of the chemical admixtures often used in paving grade concrete. We will hear about the use of admixtures for overcoming challenging project conditions and new specification requirements.
Our subject matter experts on this important topic are Vince Perez, Technical Sales Representative with Euclid Chemical, and Paul Heis with Master Builders Solutions.
