An extraordinary effort is underway to fully reconstruct 67 centerline miles of pavement on I-10 in the harsh desert environment between Coachella and Blythe California. The old worn-out lanes of asphalt pavement are being replaced with new long-life Jointed Plain Concrete Pavement (JPCP). The work is being completed under three contracts with a combined value of $688 million. Overall, the work is proceeding on-schedule and on-budget with expected completion in September of 2026.
Join us to explore the tremendous accomplishments achieved by Caltrans, Fisher Industries, and Coffman Specialties on these projects highlighted by exceptional concrete pavement quality, innovative value engineering, ingenious traffic staging, and strong partnerships extending across the 3 unique projects.
Panelists:
Divyesh Vora is the Corridor Manager for Caltrans in District 8, overseeing the three major I-10 projects
Josh Alves is the I-10 Project Manager with Fisher Industries
