Marlon Flournoy, Committee Chair of the California Freight Advisory Committee, recently welcomed the Southwest Concrete Pavement Association (SWCPA) and Executive Director Charles Stuart as the newest members of the California Freight Advisory Committee (CFAC). Flournoy also serves as Deputy Director, Planning & Modal Programs for the California Department of Transportation.
The CFAC is a chartered advisory body representing public and private sector freight stakeholders, including representatives of ports, shippers, carriers, freight-related associations, the freight industry workforce, the transportation department of the State, and local governments. The CFAC is the only statewide committee and forum that brings the public and private sectors together to solve some of the biggest freight issues in California.
The Committee is responsible for advising the State on freight-related priorities, issues, projects, and funding needs, and serves as a forum for discussion for State transportation decisions affecting freight mobility. Finally, the Committee participates in the development of the California Freight Mobility Plan.
