Halfway to the spring 2025 finish line, Sully-Miller Construction is forging ahead on the Interstate 15 Pavement Rehabilitation Project in San Bernadino County that runs from Oak Hill Road in Hesperia to just south of Bear Valley Road in Victorville. The project is valued at $121 million.

The Sully-Miller paving crew floats a new JPCP section of Interstate 15.

The scope of work includes rehabilitating and repaving 59 lane miles and ramps of the freeway, along with upgrading the current drainage systems. More than 176,000 cubic yards of Jointed Plain Concrete Pavement (JPCP) are being placed on mainline, for three northbound and three southbound lanes.

K-rail is in place to guide traffic onto one of the newly opened “10-Day Ramps.”

The project is designed to restore the structural integrity of the roadway and improve the ride quality of the pavement with the JPCP. In addition, the pavement rehabilitation is expected to reduce maintenance frequency and cost, and increase the service life of the pavement. Improved safety performance and a smoother roadway are the primary goals of this Interstate 15 project.
