On May 21st, the Caltrans Division of Construction Partnering Program recognized 23 project teams at the 25th Annual Excellence in Partnering Awards Ceremony in downtown Sacramento.

Acting Caltrans Director Mike Keever, District Directors, and Division of Construction Chief Ray Hopkins joined everyone in celebrating the successful partnerships of the Caltrans construction teams and their construction industry counterparts. Each team’s efforts to successfully partner during construction – often in the face of challenges and obstacles – were applauded by all in attendance.

Caltrans presented 11 Gold Awards, nine Silver, and three Bronze. SWCPA Members who were recognized for their outstanding partnerships with Caltrans were Teichert Construction, Granite Construction, Flatiron West (now FlatironDragados), Fisher Industries, and the Joint Venture of Flatiron, Skanska, and Stacy & Witbeck.

Notable projects honored for their partnership excellence that also were SWCPA Outstanding Achievements in Concrete Paving Award winners are Granite’s Highway 101 Reconstruction Project in Santa Barbara, Flatiron’s I-210 Roadway Rehab & Replacement Project, Flatiron-Skanska-Stacy & Witbeck JV’s I-5 North Coast Corridor Project, and Fisher’s I-10 Pavement Rehabilitation Project.
