Dr. Armen Amirkhanian traveled from the University of Alabama to share his work and perspective in the workshop.

The workshop featured “Fundamentals of Concrete Maturity” by Dr. Armen Amirkhanian, “The California Industry Perspective on Concrete Maturity” by Charles Stuart, “Maturity in the Caltrans Section 40 Specification” by Dulce Rufino Feldman, “The Contractor’s Perspective” by Matt Fonte, a demonstration of maturity systems from several vendors in attendance, “Maturity Across the Nation” by Jim Grove, plus “A New Method on the Horizon: AASHTO T 413” by Dr. Armen Amirkhanian, and open discussion among all of the participants.
